About Msono

A place built
around good food.

Msono lives on East Avenue 26 in the heart of Los Angeles — a neighborhood bakery and grocery that takes its time. We bake bread the old way: long ferments, honest ingredients, and the patience to let it do what it needs to do.

Our shelves carry the same philosophy: locally roasted coffee, small-batch preserves, olive oils from independent producers, and pantry staples chosen because they're worth keeping in your cupboard. Nothing rushed. Nothing ordinary.

What We Carry

From the oven
to your table.

Artisan Breads

Sourdough, ciabatta, fougasse, and seasonal varieties — all leavened naturally and baked fresh each morning in small batches.

Pastries & Sweets

Croissants, tarts, danishes, and daily specials made with French technique and locally sourced dairy. Always butter. Always from scratch.

Pantry & Groceries

Curated olive oils, vinegars, preserves, grains, and international staples — each one selected for quality and the stories behind them.

Coffee & Beverages

Locally roasted coffee, specialty teas, fresh juices, and seasonal drinks — the kind of beverage program that makes your morning routine feel like a ritual.

Specialty Items

Artisan cheeses, charcuterie, fresh pasta, prepared foods, and seasonal offerings — things you'll actually want to cook with on a Tuesday night.

Daily Rotations

What's fresh today changes with the season and the market. Stop by and see what's on the counter — that's where the best things are.

Our Story

Slow by
intention.

Msono was founded on a simple conviction: that the best food comes from people who care about the process, not just the product. Every loaf we bake goes through a full natural fermentation — no shortcuts, no industrial accelerants.

Our grocery side grew the same way. We seek out producers who take pride in what they make — the olive oil mill in the hills, the coffee roaster down the street, the preserve maker who still uses her grandmother's recipe. These aren't decisions made by committee. They're decisions made by taste.

We opened our doors on East Avenue 26 because this neighborhood asked for something honest. We're still here because it delivered.

"The bread is the thing. Everything else is just conversation."
